Akamuti Authentic African Black Soap Review

Image
Akamuti Authentic African Black Soap This bar of soap is totally natural, organic and leaves my skin amazingly smooth.  On the packaging it says you can use it for the body, but I also like to use it for the face as its very gentle. Even though most natural products don't tend to lather well, this soap foams really well making it easy to wash makeup and oily skin too. As the bar is quite chunky, I cut off a small block and use that until it finishes, this way the soap lasts longer. The only thing  is it softens quickly under water so it's best to lather it in the hand before you use it, and put the block somewhere to dry.  This bar is really gentle and cleans my skin leaving it smooth and fresh, if you have sensitive skin, this would be perfect for you. As it has Shea Butter in it, it doesn't strip my skin, or make it feel tight, only a few times I have found it abit drying, however I usually spritz a toner or moisturiser after cleansing. I think if you

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Image
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream I'm not a fan of lipglosses much and this caught my eye because its packaged and applied like a lipgloss however its very pigmented and matte. I bought Antwerp first and loved the colour and how it felt so I bought a few more which I thought would compliment medium golden-tanned complexions. Antwerp: a lovely warm vibrant coral peachy-pink colour. I love this shade because it's like a natural lip colour but more extra vibrant so it really makes the lips pop and it really brightens my complexion when the rest of my makeup is very natural. Addis Ababa: a vibrant bright blue toned pink. Lovely colour if you like bright shades, very summery and fun. Stockholm:  a natural nude muted light peachy - brown toned colour. I use this when my eyes are more smokey or dark and want to go for a nude look on the lips. I wouldn't use this for a natural look on its own as it can sometimes wash my skin colour out, so the rest of the makeup on the fa

Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Face Powder Review

Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten This product is so underrated. I got talked into getting it by my sister quite some time ago. I got it in a set of three things from QVC. I didn't use it much at the time, as I wasn't sure exactly how to use it. After a few months of it sitting in my makeup draw, I decided to lightly brush it across my face on top of a light liquid foundation. I got into work and looked in the ladies' mirror and thought wow! Balance-n-Brighten in Medium How it looks: The thing about this product is that a little goes along way. A light brush across your face literally brightens the face up, its perfect to use after a natural sheer/light foundation, just to compliment it and complete the look.   Don't expect miracles with this product, it's something that gives you a subtle makeover, so not like heavy coverage or something. I use this everyday for a day time natural look. Its light and non cakey. This shade really compliments my ski

Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons

Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons Omd...this went out of stock at QVC before Christmas so I put myself on the waiting list and if they got it back in stock they would deduct the money off my card and post it too me...well just last week when I completely forgot about it, it came in the post! What a lovely surprise! :D Its a 9 piece collection of highlighters, blushers and eyeshadows all baked and yummy. I absolutely love the packaging. I have used Laura Geller products before and so knew this would be a treat without hesitation. I think she does a lovely makeup line for a everyday natural look, they are lovely beautiful unique colours.  I always make sure when she has deals like this come up on QVC to snap them up as most of the items alone are quite expensive. Her products are deliciously made in liquid and baked on terracotta pans for 24 hours and finished by hand to create lovely shades. Aren't they so yummy! Eyeshadows from the left: Orange Blossom,
