Kiko Free Soul Highlighter | Review and swatches

Image
I don't own a lot of highlighters..I have been using up my Laura Gellar highlighters I got in a limited edition set and the shade that I used the most has hit pan. I wanted a gold highlighter and as Kiko is so affordable I decided to get one from there. Kiko has a limited edition collection out called Free Soul which has lovely light green packaging and products in cute compact sizes that are great for travelling. I literally got talked into the highlighter and I'm glad I got it. The assistant in the shop had it on, and she was of a deeper complexion and it looked stunning on her. This highlighter has three shades that you can use each of or swipe all three to get a lovely shade. This is so convenient in having 4 shades literally in a small compact and it 's a bargain at £12.90!  The shades are really pigmented, my pics below are taken with one swipe. The shades are not metallic looking, they are illuminating which I prefer as it looks more natur

Evolve Beauty Nourishing Hair Elixir | Review

Image
I loveee this! I used to use the Kerastase Ultime Elixirs or whatever they were called, they smelled amazing and made my hair feel great, however I wanted to move away from chemical and artifical based products, and look for something abit for organic or natural.  I came across this brand on Instagram, they have alot of followers and some interesting looking products. I came across this Hair Elixir, and looked at the ingredients, and its obviously contained with oils that are perfect for the hair.  Even though it has oils in it, it feels more like a serum, which is perfect, its light, sort of has the consistency of water if you shake the bottle about, so you know its not going to make the hair feel heavy and greasy like you have a pile of product in it. I feel like this is the perfect hair serum for ALL hair types, its so softening, my hair feels amazing, gives a lovely shine, but most of all my hair feels and looks healthy. I use a few drops when I come out the shower and run

Vichy Corrective Foundation in 35 Sand | Review & swatch

I really wanted to love this foundation, the reviews are amazing, and it seems like you can't go wrong with this, but I don't think it suits me or it not that good. First of all there are only 5 shades. I guessed mine online, and then realised its stocked at boots so swatched the colours and thought Sand looks about right. They didn't have a 45 Gold tester, which I could also be.  Consistency The consistency is fine, runny and creamy, not watery. Easy to blend on the face, I used a sigma F80 brush first, and it looked cakey. I then looked online and read the best way to apply this foundation is with a light brush and instead of buffing it it, just lightly using patting motions instead. So I used my real techniques face brush which was abit better. It looked great on, however halfway during the day, I feel like its gotten shiny in a greasy way, the foundation has started to get patchy on my forehead, and sitting in a few of my lines around my laughter lines and ch

Inika Blooming Nude Mineral Loose Blush | Review

OMD love this blush. I dont think I have ever purchased one in this shade. Normally steer away from bronze or brown blushes as I thought it would dull me out. However its such a warm shade and can be used as a bronzer too. It gives a lovely glowy natural sunkissed look about my skin. I love how it feels really light and silky on the skin, I usually gravitate to this on days out or to run errands. I do feel however half way during the day the colour is still there on my face however I feel it fades or goes just a tad patchy, nothing too noticeable but just something I can spot myself, probably as i do get shiny during the day. I do feel the Elemental Beauty blusher which is way more cheaper lasts my working day much longer and still looks pigmented. My Final thought I love the sleek packaging, the sifter pot and how quick I can get the colour that I want through building it up but would I purchase it again? Hmm..Inika is alot more high end, their foundation I would purchase again (on

Revlon Colourstay Foundation in 310 Warm Golden | Review and swatch

Image
I looked at many drugstore foundation reviews and swatched a whole bunch at stores before I got this foundation. Revlon Colourstay seemed to have the most best consistant reviews. Drugstore foundations are cheap especially on offer but I don't want to end up hoarding loads of foundations that I'm not going to use, so spending my £££ wisely now. (Especially now that I'm trying to be minimal with the amount of products I own!) Shade I was quite disappointed with the shade range. I think they will suit either fair tones or dark tones, there's not much catered for medium tones. Also all of the shades are very neutral or on the pink side as I was hoping they would be some yellow/golden shades. The shade I managed to get is called 'Warm Golden'. Fron the description I thought it would be a warm medium lovely yellow toned shade, but it's a tad neutral and slightly on the pink side. The darker shade down which is True Beige looked very neutral and the rest

Naturtint Styling Mousse | Review

Image
Looking for alternative styling products minus all the bad ingredients is pretty hard. I picked Naturtint's styling mousse up from my local Holland and Barretts. The reviews seemed pretty good with not much negatives so I bought this when it was on offer for £7.99 rather than paying full price which was £10.99 I believe. I actually really like this mousse, it's more lightweight and keeps hair soft and natural looking, yet fixing my natural curls and defining them. To describe the foam, it feels like bubble bath water minus the scent lol. Unlike drugstore Mousse's this product does not make your hair sticky, crunchy, or hard. I think this is why its perfect for second or third day hair as you can build up as much product and it will never feel crunchy, the worst feeling ever! My curls feel very soft and bouncy which also gives the look a more natural softer feel to it.  How I use it Once my hair is washed and conditioned, I towel dry let my hair air dry without no

PHB Natural and Organic Eyeliner | Review

Image
Love this brand and glad I discovered it. I actually got this liner in my LoveLula beauty box a few months ago. The fact that its natural and has almond oil and Vitamin E in it is great! I use it as a kohl pencil for my bottom waterline and it works so smoothly and doesn't smudge or move around. It also doesn't get messy which is SO important as with other kohl liners, they melt or you end up with panda eyes. This liner is black, although I find its not the blackest of blacks, it comes on looking like a dark charcoal grey which I don't mind as it looks more natural.  I wear contact lenses regularly so I think I should mention it doesn't effect or irritate my eyes at all. Some liners can leave flaky bits that go into your eyes and irritate them and I find this liner is creamy so it doesn't do that at all. It's very gentle and suitable for sensitive eyes which it says on the product. It does wear off abit during the day but as its natural I don't mind tha

PHB Ethical Beauty Loose Mineral Foundation in Beige | Review & swatch

Image
PHB Loose Mineral Foundation in Beige I seem to be doing alot of PHB reviews lately, only because I ordered a few of their samples to try and loved them so I'm happy to share my thoughts with you. So I ordered the travel size version of the Loose Mineral Foundation in Beige which is suited to medium to tan warm golden undertones. The lighter shade before this is called Peach which I am in, in the Liquid Formula, but I found the picture of the shade looked a tad light. It could probably still work as its for Light to Medium peachy skintones however I found Beige looked warmer. I'm glad I only got the Beige in the end as I have a million pots of sample Loose Foundations and if i don't like them they are just taking space in my drawer, but PHB's foundation has been used every day since I got it. It's been a week and I still have about another week or a few days left to use. So these are the ingredients listed on their website: Mica (refl
