Loreal Recital Preference Hair Dye in shade '7 RIMINI - DARK BLONDE' Review

Image
Loreal Recital Preference in shade 7 - Rimini Dark Blonde Review Hello all, a little bit about me and my struggle with hair dyes. I have very thick, dry wavy Asian hair. My natural colour is not black but a very dark brown where it looks black, so might aswell be black hair! All you Asian girls would know.  I have used so many hair dye boxes over the years, some that I have stuck to using such as 'Nice n Easy' which most of the time works and sometimes doesn't depending on how much build up I got on my hair. I always wanted a light brown all over colour but my roots have always ended up lighter in the shade I want and the ends are still dark! Almost like a halo. It's okay if my roots are at least 3 inches long but if it's just 1 inch it looks ridiculous. Anyways that's always been my fault as I been too impatient with my roots growing out, and getting bored with my hair quickly and dyeing it again and again. You're probably wondering why I don't

Burts Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil & Belly Butter Review

Image
Burts Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil & Belly Butter Well ever since I found out I was pregnant (what a surprise!) I was gifted these two from my sister. I literally have been using them from week 6 to now which is 8 and a half months pregnant and I can say confidently I have no stretch marks, irritated or taunt/ tight feeling skin! It might be down to good genes, but I feel these products play a part in making my skin feel moisturised and soft.  Nourishing Body Oil I love the oil, I use it every day without fail, after a shower or just before bed, it smells refreshing, citrus or lemony like which was perfect for me when I was going through the morning sickness faze. It wasn't too strong or unpleasantly sweet, infact I found the smell comforting when I went to sleep - 1st trimester hormones and that! Belly Butter The cream is great, I use it all over my body, as well as my bump and back. This doesn't have a strong fragrance to it at all, smells mildly like shea butt

Organix Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Review

Image
Organix Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Review   I'll get straight into the review...I don't like the smell! It smells too much like a perfume, not natural enough. If you like cosmetic fragrance smells then this will be fine for you. I'm not one that bothers too much about fragrances, but I like my hair smelling fresh, or fruity or something thats abit more natural. I would of preferred the natural smell of argan which is just nutty compared to this. How I use it/makes my hair feel It says its a 'Weightless reviving dry oil' which it is - it has a slippery thin textured oily feel. It's not greasy or heavy on the hair, its almost like a thin smooth textured serum. I spray this on my hair when its damp, nearly dried and it helps get the tangles out my hair when I'm combing it through and I'm able to blow dry my hair smoothly too. I have very thick hair so I did not find it helped my hair look any better, although it did help make it feel smooth .

Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review

Image
Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review I could totally rave about Topshop's makeup all day. The quality is amazing, the shade ranges are unique, their packaging is cute, and their prices are not too bad either! To add to my collection I got the Topshop Contour cream in the shade 'Swerve'. I'm not much of a contour girl; I use Topshop's Matte bronzer as a subtle contour sometimes but as the Anastasia kits started coming about with contour creams I came across this product. I couldn't see myself getting a full on contour palette, simply because I'm not into the full makeup look, so I thought this small little contour cream compact was perfect when I felt like doing a little bit extra. How it feels Firstly it is so easy to use. It has a really good soft smooth texture and I use my fingers to apply or 'draw' on contour lines on my face where ever I want it. I then use a contour brush and soften it out. it's build-able too so you can

100% Pure Cosmetics - Long Last Concealer Review - Peach Bisque

Image
100% Pure Cosmetics - Long Last Concealer with Super Fruits Review - Peach Bisque I bought this concealer in the shade 'Peach Bisque'. The shade goes well with the foundation that I have in Peach Bisque also, it is slightly lighter than the healthy mix foundation which is perfect for a concealer. How it feels/looks The texture is very smooth and creamy. I think it's a good concealer for winter as it is quite creamy and won't dry you around the eyes. The thing I noticed is that it looks quite shiny for the under eye once you put it on, so I would need to set it with a powder to make it look matte. I've used other concealer's where I have not needed to set it with a powder so its just an extra step I've got to take.  It is moisturising and does stay put even though its creamy but it does look quite dewy on the skin. I'm not sure how this would feel in hotter climates as it already looks dewy, it might just melt! I did have to apply this produc

Sukin Facial Moisturiser Review

Image
Sukin Facial Moisturiser I think I'm totally due a review of this as I've gotten through the whole bottle...  I came across their products in a health store near me, I bought this and the Sukin Face Toner spray (which I've already done a review on). This is a great moisturiser, I did feel when I first got this that it clogged up my pores or was too greasy for my face as it's a natural product and can cause breakouts, but as my skin's got used to it- I loved it! I use a thin layer during the day under my foundation and it doesn't get greasy at all, I get a nice glow by the end of the day. I get dry cheeks but an oily T - Zone and this product balanced my skin out well.   At night time before bed, especially in the winter as my skin gets so dry and stripped after washing it, I apply a generous thicker layer of this before bed and wake up with clear super smooth skin.  My Final Thought I will repurchase this, it's one of the most na

Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturiser Review

Image
Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturiser Review I bought this as I wanted a more natural face moisturiser and this says its got 95% natural ingredients. This is a good moisturiser for the summer as I find, once you put it on it has a thick dry texture to it, probably because of the SPF 15. When I use this in colder months I find it too drying and when I apply my makeup on top I fee it highlights the dry bits on my face like around my nose and forehead.  It's not the most moisturising product I have come across, I think they have different versions of this which might be more better in terms of hydrating the skin. I don't find this nourishing or hydrating for my skin, but it is probably a good product to take on holiday for warmer weathers as it has SPF15 in it.  My Final Thought It's not the best moisturiser I've come across, I probably won't be getting this again as I don't feel it sits well on my skin. My husband has dry, sensitive skin and whe

Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review

Image
Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review   Oh my days I totally love this concealer and was surprised what a difference it makes to my skin. Since I've moved onto mineral makeup for everyday use I thought I'd add a concealer to my collection as I already use Earthnicity's Natural Buff Mineral Foundation. I switch between Alima Pure's Foundation and Earthnicity's and wanted a concealer powder for brightening up under my eyes forehead, cheeks, anywhere where I get redness like sides of my nose and darker pigmented areas.  Honey Is a light pale shade with a slight yellow tint to it so its perfect for brightening. It compliments really well with the Natural Buff foundation shade which I use. Honey is lighter than my skin tone as I wanted something to brighten up areas. The next shade down I think they have is called Sand which I think would of matched my skin exactly but then wouldn't of brightened up areas on my face; I usually like

Earthnicity Mineral Eyeshadow in 'Iced Coffee'

Image
Earthnicity Mineral Eye shadow in 'Iced Coffee' I'm on a journey to start slowly, slowly replacing high end products and drugstore makeup that have chemicals in them that aren't good for the skin. Although I have alot to go through and still get tempted with treating myself to high end foundations and drugstore eye shadow palettes I decided to embark on mineral eye shadows next! I picked this mid brown shade Iced Coffee as I thought it would be a perfect everyday natural shade for me. It has slight flecks of shimmer in it, but when I apply it, it looks pretty matte which is perfect for a natural look.  The colour pay off is amazing, Its really pigmented and you don't need alot of it to show. It lasts all day and didn't crease up on my eyes.It applies smoothly, its not chalky or flaky.  Being a loose pigmented eye shadow thought it would get messy, but not at all! I love the cute packaging, its compact and easy to travel with too. As its so pigmented I mi

Balm Balm - Little Miracle Rosehip Serum Review

Image
Balm Balm - Little Miracle Rosehip Serum Review   I actually brought this because my skin was looking rather dull and flaky due to the cold weather. My makeup just wasn't sitting right on my face, with dry patches here and there which was making me over moisturise; I would look too shiny by the end of the day. I wanted to try using a serum as I've not really used one before. Rosehip being all the hype lately due to it's anti ageing properties I decided to buy something that consists of that. I came across alot of Rosehip products on the market, some being very expensive! I didn't want something dead cheap but something that looked like good quality and was organic or natural in some way.  I came across this brand on the FeelUnique website and did further research and thought this one looked pretty good, their products looked organic and of good quality not to mention reasonable prices! How it feels and smells When I first opened this bottle I thou

Soap and Glory Super Faboulipstick Powdercoat Matte in 'Super Nude' Review

Image
Soap and Glory Super Fabulipstick Powdercoat Matte in 'Super Nude' Everyone's raving about Soap and Glory's new makeup range and I was tempted to try their award winning lipsticks. They consist of a few lovely everyday nudes/pinks going into evening darker shade lippies.  Being asian and having pink lips but with a brown outer rim, my lips already have that 'nude' shade so whenever I buy a 'nude' lippy, you really can't tell the difference! I think nude shades look really flattering on fairier complexions; some darker nudes look very sultry on them. For darker complexions they give a glowy radiant look to the skin, but if your somewhere in between with medium skintone like me - it just looks like your own lip shade - don't you agree? Anyways... I did swatch the 'Naked Beige' however it reminded me of Mac's Velvet Teddy which is a dark pinky-brown shade which I feel didn't do nothing for me, it was abit darker too,

Jason's Jojoba Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Image
Jason's Jojoba Shampoo & Conditioner Review  -   ( M y current shampoo/conditioning products) I don’t know where to start with this product. What I can say is over the few years I’ve bought it over 7 times so it can’t be crap. I wouldn’t buy something again if I remembered it to be crap! I have done a review of the Jason's Apricot S & C for shiny hair - that didn't do much for me so I wouldn't repruchase that. I have used the Aloe Vera range for dry hair that needs moisturising. That was great, but over time my waves felt weighed down and not bouncy. I have come back to the Jojoba S & C for long hair and this is my review... I repurchased this ( again) as I was trying to look for a natural/organic shampoo and conditioner that was in my budget and I always fall back to this one when that happens! I’m tempted to buy other brands but something that’s like 200ml and over £15 would finish so quick for me as I have thick mid back-length
