Balm Balm - Little Miracle Rosehip Serum Review

Balm Balm - Little Miracle Rosehip Serum Review

I actually brought this because my skin was looking rather dull and flaky due to the cold weather. My makeup just wasn't sitting right on my face, with dry patches here and there which was making me over moisturise; I would look too shiny by the end of the day.

I wanted to try using a serum as I've not really used one before. Rosehip being all the hype lately due to it's anti ageing properties I decided to buy something that consists of that. I came across alot of Rosehip products on the market, some being very expensive! I didn't want something dead cheap but something that looked like good quality and was organic or natural in some way.

I came across this brand on the FeelUnique website and did further research and thought this one looked pretty good, their products looked organic and of good quality not to mention reasonable prices!

How it feels and smells
When I first opened this bottle I thought 'WOAW' that smells strong. It's a very herbally, essential oil, floral smell. I thought I wouldn't be able to stand it, but every time I put it on my face now I just like smelling it too! I would say like most reviewers have, it's more of a an oil-based serum or oil. It does not feel like a normal serum where it's probably more water or cream based.

How I use the Balm Balm Serum
I did try using this under makeup, I use organic makeup so thought this would be the perfect combo. I used a very tiny drop and rubbed it into my face however by the end of the day it felt abit heavy on my face, I could just feel like I had something on my face. If you have very dry skin this could perhaps work but in summer it would feel abit greasy.

I now use it in a different method which I LOVE. I use it right before bed. Once I've washed my face, exfoliated or put mask on, it's the perfect thing to use. I massage it into my face gently in upward motions just giving my face a little bit of a pamper, I use more if I want extra hydration to the skin and if I've felt it's absorbed. After 30 mins or so it feels fully absorbed into my skin and my skin feels very soft and smooth. The best result is when I wake up in the morning my skin looks like I've slept well, smoothed out my skin, it looks hydrated, evens out my complexion.

My Final Thought
I use this every night now without fail, I wake up and my skin literally looks and feels younger.  It is a really good treatment to sleep in and wake upto better skin. I even tried it one night on my husband, and he said his skin looked less rough and dry in the morning, he just looked a better version of himself than he would in the morning and wants me to put it on him every night too!

I wouldn't use this during the day as it is an oil based serum as you can see by the ingredients. It would work really well as an intensive moisturiser if you have very dry skin, but even using this at night is enough to hydrate my skin.

I would buy this again, it really is a little miracle in a bottle with a miraculous price!
