Fushi Really Good Hair Oil Review

Image
Fushi Really Good Hair Oil Was googling 'good hair oils' and basically the 'Really Good Hair Oil' popped up! Says it on the can really! Normally I tend to use hair oils I get from the indian shop such as Parachute Coconut Oil, Dabur Amla, Vatika Hair oil, but I found them very greasy and heavy on the hair, plus takes ages to rinse out. I thought I'd try a european brand but I always thought they wouldn't do wonders because of all the added artificial factory type ingredients they are filled with, however, I came across their brand and was amazed by how natural their products are. This product in particular had won an award so I thought hmm let's give it a try. It does cost more than indian hair oils which are around 3 quid, but it has so many of the main key oils to get healthy hair so I thought it should be worth it. How it made my hair feel: I was pleasantly surprised because the actual consistency is quite light, it feels like a heavy s

MeMeMe Lipstick Review & Swatches

Image
MeMeMe Lipsticks Coral Cloak A lovely orangey colour, not completely coral I would say, has no peach tones. A bold and very vibrant orange colour. Out of the set of three that I got this one is my favourite. Hot Magenta A bold electric pink shade, a dark bold fuschia lip colour. Its a medium - dark colour shade so for work or everyday I found it too deep a shade. Pashmina Pink A light pale pastel powdery pink shade. its too light and sheer to the point it almost looks like a frosted colour. Washes out tanned complexion. Didn't really suit me. Its too light and pale. Eww! MeMeMe Lipstick Collection From the left without flash: Pashmina Pink, Hot Magenta, Coral Cloak From the left with flash: Pashmina Pink, Hot Magenta, Coral Cloak How they feel: Very moisturising lipsticks. They are very soft to the point when i did the swatches I broke two of the lippies :(. Oh no. They tend to slip and slide abit and come on abit glossy as they are moisturin

Earthnicity Mineral Foundation Review

Image
Earthnicity Mineral Foundation - Honey Beige & Natural Buff I am trying to find the perfect HG mineral foundation for myself so I thought I'd write reviews of all the ones I've tried. I came across this when I googled mineral makeup for olive/asian skintones. At the moment my everyday foundation is Alima. Out of all of the ones I've tried so far it is the best one to date. It gives sheer to light coverage. My skin now, is going through more rough days than usual, more blemishes etc and I would like to find a mineral foundation that leans over more to medium coverage at least.  I came across Earthnicity and got some samples. I picked the light to medium shade 'Honey Beige' and the medium shade 'Natural buff'. Honey Beige   Honey Beige I would say is on the lighter side of medium. It is pale yellow tone and immediately I could tell it was too pale and yellow for my nc37-40 skintone. My complexion I would say is slap bang in the middle of med

Jane Iredale Mineral Pressed Powder Foundation Review

Image
Jane Iredale Mineral Pressed Foundation in Golden Glow I was really getting into Mineral makeup (and still am!) and I've tried a few different brands so I thought I'd review them as I go along.  I was looking around for mineral foundations that would suit my asian skintone, and I came across Jane Iredale on the internet, and realised there was a salon just next to my workplace that had their products. I bought the Jane Iredale Mineral Pressed Powder in the shade 'GOLDEN GLOW'. It comes in quite a heavy sturdy gold coloured metal case, which is really good and this can be refilled with just the pressed powders, so love that idea, great investment. I have eastern asian nc35-40 skintone and anything that has the word 'golden' in it gets me interested! Hence, this shade was right up my street. I tried using this product in different methods. One way is that I tried using it just as a mineral foundation on it's own. I used it with a lot of layers and real

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner Review

Image
Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner Saw this brand in my local health shop. I'm trying to move more into natural skincare and this product caught my eye. It's an australian brand and their cute lil motto is 'Skincare that doesn't cost the earth'. - So true! Prices are not as expensive as other natural skincare brands. I love the fact that this bottle says everything that it DOESN'T contain and I think this is for all their products: NO Sodium Lauryl NO Sodium Laureth Sulphate NO Synthetic Fragrances NO Animal Derivatives NO Harsh detergents NO Propylene Glycol NO Artificial Colours NO Triethanolamine NO Mineral Oils NO EDTA NO Parabens Wowee! Ingredients: Aqua, Rosa Damascena Flower Water (Rose), Glycerin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile), Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid As you can see from the ingredients they are pretty minimal which is a good thing when choosing natural skincare. The scent is a light ple

EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation & EX1 Delete Concealer Review and Swatches

Image
EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation This brand is fairly new and was founded by Farah Naz. Like many asians its hard to find foundations that match your skin tone perfectly. Some are too pink toned, high street brand only go upto a certain shade which doesn't cater for asian complexions or you find a shade but the brand is too expensive! Farah Naz has brought out a range specifically for olive skin tones. When she says olive, it means its suitable for Middle Eastern, Asian, South American or Mediterranean skintones. Shade: I came across EX1 Costmetics on twitter, Faryal Makhdoom posted a picture of some of the products and it intrigued me to visit their website. I read somewhere that they now have the brand in Topshop in Oxford Street so I went and purchased the shade F300. I did swatch the F200 in store but I think thats more of an NC 25-30 shade. F300 is perfect for NC35-40 skintone which is me. NC40 or NC42 onwards is probably the F400. F400 is a medium-tan colour.
