Earthnicity Mineral Foundation Review

Earthnicity Mineral Foundation - Honey Beige & Natural Buff

I am trying to find the perfect HG mineral foundation for myself so I thought I'd write reviews of all the ones I've tried. I came across this when I googled mineral makeup for olive/asian skintones. At the moment my everyday foundation is Alima. Out of all of the ones I've tried so far it is the best one to date. It gives sheer to light coverage. My skin now, is going through more rough days than usual, more blemishes etc and I would like to find a mineral foundation that leans over more to medium coverage at least.

I came across Earthnicity and got some samples. I picked the light to medium shade 'Honey Beige' and the medium shade 'Natural buff'.

Honey Beige
Honey Beige I would say is on the lighter side of medium. It is pale yellow tone and immediately I could tell it was too pale and yellow for my nc37-40 skintone. My complexion I would say is slap bang in the middle of medium shades, a tanned colour and this was too light for me. Like the models they used for this shade on their site, who looked like light olive toned European and a yellow toned Chinese model, it would probably really compliment complexions similar to the models.

Natural Buff
Natural Buff blended into my skin much better, I found the colour more peachy than with yellow tones, so I was bit sceptical if it would suit my complexion. However once blended into my skin it was a nice warm colour. it made my complexion look healthy and warm.

Coverage
With this product I think you can get light to medium coverage. It was definitely better coverage than Alima as Alima is more sheer. I looked more flawless with this foundation. I wouldn’t say its heavy coverage though. Like with most mineral foundations I have tried, this is not matte or dewy. It has a nice smooth satin - matte finish similar to Alima but with more coverage.
With Alima sometimes I have to dab my skin after 4-5 hours as I start to get abit shiny on the nose and forehead. Even Alima lasted a lot longer then most minerals I have tried so I was happy with this. Earthnicity starts too look glowy after 4-5 hours but I don’t get as much shine like Alima so pleasantly surprised! By evening, my skin looked a lot natural, it hadnt melted off like other mineral foundations. I did look more glowy and slightly shiny but not in a bad way, I still looked refreshed.

How it feels:
It is finely milled and once blended into the skin it feels very silky smooth. The texture is really nice. It feels nice on the skin. Out of all the samples I have tried this one feels the most smoothest and silky on my skin.

My Final Thought :
I like how this shade looks on my skin, I have a warm radiant glow - probably because it’s a peachy shade. I like how it feels light but I can get medium coverage from this aswell. My complexion looks super smooth and feels great with this on. I think this foundation gives a nice flawless natural look which is what I was looking for as some foundations are so light and natural it looks like you have nothing on. This gives the look as if your skin is natural lovely and flawless.

I am sampling one more brand, so I'll see how that goes, but I think if that doesn’t work out, once my Alima is finished I will probably be purchasing the full size in this!

25/01/2014:
Well... I tried some other samples and found this one to be the best one so far and I went and got myself the full size woohoo!

I may try the blushers next..
