EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation & EX1 Delete Concealer Review and Swatches
EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation
This brand is fairly new and was founded by Farah Naz. Like many asians its hard to find foundations that match your skin tone perfectly. Some are too pink toned, high street brand only go upto a certain shade which doesn't cater for asian complexions or you find a shade but the brand is too expensive! Farah Naz has brought out a range specifically for olive skin tones. When she says olive, it means its suitable for Middle Eastern, Asian, South American or Mediterranean skintones.
Shade:
I came across EX1 Costmetics on twitter, Faryal Makhdoom posted a picture of some of the products and it intrigued me to visit their website. I read somewhere that they now have the brand in Topshop in Oxford Street so I went and purchased the shade F300. I did swatch the F200 in store but I think thats more of an NC 25-30 shade. F300 is perfect for NC35-40 skintone which is me. NC40 or NC42 onwards is probably the F400. F400 is a medium-tan colour.

The Finish/ How it looks/feels:
When I pumped some out onto my hand I did think the consistency looked heavy as it felt quite creamy. It isn't runny or watery. However once I blended, it had a light finish and looked luminous and radiant on my skin. It gives a fresh glow to the face, it doesn't have a matte finish, its illuminating and for this reason I thought I would get shiny during the day, although surprisingly I didn't. I didn't even have to blotch my T-Zone which I usually do, by the end of the day I had a nice dewy non-greasy glow. It is SUPER blendable which I love, once its set on your face it feels light smooth and velvety soft. I'd say its a light foundation but with really good medium coverage. I think alittle goes alot with this product as the coverage and staying power is just too good, I use 1 - 2 pumps.
My Final Thoughts ❤:
I am pleasantly surprised by this foundation. I was skeptical because it's cheap however it is excellent for the price. I love light foundations, I usually use mineral powders daily, however for that extra flawless look in a light foundation - this is the works! I think if your have oily skin you will love this, if you have dry skin, you might need a good moisturiser as it's finish feels velvety.
There are only 5 shades, but as they are so blendable and adaptable I think it will compliment your skin in whatever shade your more closely matched to. Its definitely worth a try.
It feels light on my skin and at the same time gives me amazing coverage. It does oxidise slightly by the end of the day, by going just a tad shade darker but nothing like orange. I think its an excellent product for its amount, sometimes you end up spending so much money to get products that actually work. It light with medium coverage and stays shine/oil free with a lovely radiant glow, what more could you want - thumbs up from me!
EX1 Delete Concealer
This is a really good concealer. I got in on offer for £7 due to a deal on Look fantastic so cannot complain! It is very pigmented and yellow in tone so perfect for my skintone and pairs very nicely with the foundation. In fact it pairs really well with any foundation, most concealers end up looking too light around the eyes but this is light yet warm toned enough so looks perfect.
Consistency/ staying power
It is not too creamy, which is a good thing as it stays put around the eyes, red areas around the nose and dark chin pigmented areas. It looks just as good at the end of the day as it did in the morning when I first applied it. It doesn't melt or go shiny like some concealers.
Shade
As you can see from the picture its a very warm, yellow-beige concealer, I have the shade D200.
My Final Thought
I think concealers set different to everyone when it comes to covering dark circles. Some have more fine line than others. I have a few fine lines under my eyes, when I first apply this concealer it does settle alittle bit into my fine lines, but once I've blended that out it stays where its meant to and doesn't settle again. It brightens my eye area up, I even use it to brighten my cheekbone area - it adds abit of glow. Its so worth the money. Love the cute little pot, as you can see I've gone through quite abit! Also love the fact it has very few ingredients.
Edit - 1/3/2018
So
I was formerly shade F300 which has now changed to 7.0 for those that
might want this. I haven't tried any other shades, so I will update this
if I do go out and buy this again. 7.0 is said to be yellow toned with a
hint of beige.EX1 Delete Concealer

I'm NC42 and got this in F400 and found it a little dark for me. Overall its a great product.
ReplyDeleteyep its good for £10!
Deletei found F400 was a perfect match for me and i am NC42 and for £10 you cant go wrong. Not as keen on the setting powder didn't last long at all. However i dont think this foundation has staying power for your typical 9-5 day. X
ReplyDeleteI think for £10 its good quality compared to most foundations round that price. I found it did last me 9-5 compared to other brands of similar price like Bourjois, Loreal etc. With those I was an oil slick by the end of the day...this one stayed put longer. x
ReplyDeleteGreat post.... I'm really thinking of purchasing this now. Been reading a lot of reviews!
