Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review

Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review

I could totally rave about Topshop's makeup all day. The quality is amazing, the shade ranges are unique, their packaging is cute, and their prices are not too bad either!

To add to my collection I got the Topshop Contour cream in the shade 'Swerve'. I'm not much of a contour girl; I use Topshop's Matte bronzer as a subtle contour sometimes but as the Anastasia kits started coming about with contour creams I came across this product. I couldn't see myself getting a full on contour palette, simply because I'm not into the full makeup look, so I thought this small little contour cream compact was perfect when I felt like doing a little bit extra.

How it feels
Firstly it is so easy to use. It has a really good soft smooth texture and I use my fingers to apply or 'draw' on contour lines on my face where ever I want it. I then use a contour brush and soften it out. it's build-able too so you can use as much or as little as you need. I find that a little goes along way. Contour creams give that little bit more definition than powders so it gives me a really good definition under my cheekbones.

The Shade
I think they had one shade lighter than this, but as I wanted to have something in my makeup collection that gave me a good strong contoured look I thought this shade was perfect, it's a cool toned grey-brown. The fact that its so blendable makes it perfect for anyone to use, I think even lighter skin tones could use this. The shade is a nice cool toned brown. I like the fact its not orange or warm toned as that would look fake, this give a lovely natural cool toned shadow under cheek bones jaw line etc.

My Final Thought
It's not a product I use everyday, so I've got alot to go through, but it's something worth having in your makeup collection if your like me and don't need a whole palette. It's cute and compact so you can put it in your make up bag. It is a convenient practical contour cream to have.
