Jason's Jojoba Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Jason's Jojoba Shampoo & Conditioner Review  -  (My current shampoo/conditioning products)

I don’t know where to start with this product. What I can say is over the few years I’ve bought it over 7 times so it can’t be crap. I wouldn’t buy something again if I remembered it to be crap!

I have done a review of the Jason's Apricot S & C for shiny hair - that didn't do much for me so I wouldn't repruchase that. I have used the Aloe Vera range for dry hair that needs moisturising. That was great, but over time my waves felt weighed down and not bouncy. I have come back to the Jojoba S & C for long hair and this is my review...

I repurchased this ( again) as I was trying to look for a natural/organic shampoo and conditioner that was in my budget and I always fall back to this one when that happens! I’m tempted to buy other brands but something that’s like 200ml and over £15 would finish so quick for me as I have thick mid back-length hair.  I rather spend my money’s worth and get a bigger portion to go with it…hence Jason’s incredible budget friendly range!

I remember when I first got a bottle of the shampoo and conditioner one summer, I felt it didn’t do much for my hair but I continued to use it. Towards the end of the bottle I felt my hair felt some what softer and smoother whilst washing it. I went and got a 2nd bottle of the S and C. After using 2 rounds of this stuff my never felt so soft, lush and shiny, my hair felt. My hair felt really good, healthy and thick…I feel natural shampoos need getting used to and over time my hair looked better, its not something that will work instantly and transform your hair like drugstore products.
Price and the amount

Anyways, after a while I went back to drugstore products, I’m not sure why…bit this year again I went back to the jasons range.  I went back to using this product again because I remembered how good it made my hair feel and the fact that for under £7 I got more than 400ml of this stuff!!!!! It would last me ages and a really good cost.

Shampoo
I really like the shampoo, when I first got this I thought the lumpy gel like consistency would be very drying on my hair, but after getting use to the consistency I actually quite like it. It does a really good clean yet its gentle. It does foam up just enough to clean the hair. I’ve used natural shampoos before that made my hair feel waxy or wire like, but this product did a good thorough clean, without overly drying my hair.

Conditioner
I think this is where I went wrong…I got the matching jojoba conditioner to go with the shampoo. I’ve read a few reviews of this stuff and I agree when they say the conditioner doesn’t do much for the hair. I think the shampoo is great, but the conditioner just isn’t that moisturising, on top of that I felt I always had to use a lot more of the stuff because one coating wasn’t doing anything for my hair. Even when I left conditioner on my hair for a while and washed it off my hair, it didn’t appear silkier or smoother like it normally would after a good conditioner.

My Final Thought
Despite the conditioner being abit disappointing, my hair overall appears thicker and fuller and I feel it’s grown at a good rate with this stuff. I won’t say my hairs grown fast like some miracle, but its grown at a good steady rate, probably due to the fact it’s in better condition. My hair doesn’t look flat or weighed down, there’s no build up with this range. Even on day 3 or 4 hair my hair is still looking thick and not flat and greasy looking.

I have changed my regiment alittle bit and got myself another bottle of the Jojoba shampoo but I am now pairing it up with the Aloe Vera conditioner for that extra moisturising boost. I have used the Aloe Vera shampoo and conditioner in the past. I found them really good too, but using it over time I felt it weighed down my hair due to the extra intensive moisturising properties. The Jojoba shampoo suits my scalp and hair really well so I will continue to use that with the aloe conditioner and see how that combo works out. Sometimes I feel it’s good to mix and match according to your hair type! I will write and update once I’ve tried it!
