Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review

Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review

Oh my days I totally love this concealer and was surprised what a difference it makes to my skin. Since I've moved onto mineral makeup for everyday use I thought I'd add a concealer to my collection as I already use Earthnicity's Natural Buff Mineral Foundation. I switch between Alima Pure's Foundation and Earthnicity's and wanted a concealer powder for brightening up under my eyes forehead, cheeks, anywhere where I get redness like sides of my nose and darker pigmented areas.

Honey
Is a light pale shade with a slight yellow tint to it so its perfect for brightening. It compliments really well with the Natural Buff foundation shade which I use. Honey is lighter than my skin tone as I wanted something to brighten up areas. The next shade down I think they have is called Sand which I think would of matched my skin exactly but then wouldn't of brightened up areas on my face; I usually like to get a concealer a shade or two lighter than my skin colour.

How I use it
I haven't tried this as an under eye concealer on its own yet as I have very dark circles. I use a Studio Paris 78 concealer under my eyes and I use Earthnicity's concealer on top just to smooth the look and give more cover up around my eyes. It also works really well as a primer for mineral eye shadows on the lid. I then use this around places where I get redness and where I want to brighten, like the centre of my face. I use a soft brush with this concealer. I then use a mineral powder foundation on top to bring the look together, if I want more coverage or brightness I layer on some more of the concealer.

My Final Thought
I like that it stays put and doesn't disappear like some powders. It is a concealer and its meant to conceal which it does, it hides my red patches and discolouration. I look glowy at the end of the day as it sets beautifully and it doesn't highlight any dry patches on my face. :)

Also what I love about Earthnicity is that they always have a generous 40% off promotion going on so your really getting a bargain with these products!
