Barry M Lip Paint in 54 & 147 Review
Barry M Lip Paint - 54 & 147
I absolutely love these two shades (swatches below). They are my everyday lippies. I really got into coral and nude colours and if you have a tanned complexion or are asian, latino, middle eastern, golden or olive toned, these are the perfect coral/nude shades.
Shade 54:
The 54 is a very vibrant bright coral orange-peachy warm toned shade. If your an NC35-40 skintone like me this will look lovely and exotic on you. It brightens up golden/bronze tanned complexions. If your more cool toned or have a fair complexion this might look very bright and too orange. If your looking for an electric bright orange look then this is it, but it probably wouldn't look like a natural shade, more of a bold shade if your fair.
Shade 147:
The 147 is a soft nude peachy-pink. I think the 147 would suit all fair to medium dark skin tones and look very natural. It is not too pale for tanned complexions as some nude pink shades tend to get too light and can look chalky on tanned complexions. Its a warm nude and a lovely shade to use when going for the bold eyes and a nude lip look. I do find that as an NC35 complexion I do need to warm up my skin with a bit of bronzer and blusher to make this nude shade pop and work otherwise it can sometimes washout your skin colour.

They have a matte finish and are very pigmented in colour - hence called 'Lip Paint'. I would suggest that your lips have been exfoliated and are soft before applying the lipsticks. I also use a non-greasy lip balm before applying these as it softens the colour and blends better, the colour looks better on too. On its own I found it quite dry and it can settle into fine lines, look dry and start to peel and build up round the corners of my lips.
Quality:
I would buy these again more for the colours, as its hard to find that perfect shade and these two are my signature lippies! The quality for the price your paying is good, however it's about making it work for you when it comes to applying, as on it's own it might look chalky and abit slapped on. So alittle experimenting might need to take place!

My Final Thought ❤:
It's really difficult to find the perfect nude shade to suit south asian/middle eastern skin, and the 147 gives me the perfect natural look.
The 54 is my favourite vibrant coral as it brightens up my complexion and makes me look radiant, I like using this colour when I'm going for the natural bronzed sunkissed look
I love these and will be repurchasing these again and again...and again!
