Zuii Certified Organic Flora Liquid Foundation Review
Zuii Certified Organic Flora Liquid Foundation
I'm trying to move my skincare and makeup more into a natural and organic range. Specially my everyday makeup, I wanted something light for everyday use specially for work and just out and about during the day. I was looking into products that had no chemicals, silicones, and parabens in them. I came across Zuii in a Youtuber's video and she recommended it (think the channel is called Holistic Habits!). It's an Australian brand, and their products can be brought online, there are a few stores also scattered round the world that sell this in their health shops. I used a sample from my sister's to try out, so this is a review only not swatches.
Shade/Colour Selection:
I think their colour selection is quite limited to medium to dark skin tones. Meaning there are no shades for dark skintones! There medium range, which I initially thought would still be too light for me actually matched me quite well. if your more yellow toned then the 'Natural Medium' would be more suitable for you like myself. I think if you between an NC35 to NC37 possibly NC40 you could wear this shade, although it does look like in the bottle. When I first put it on, it blend into my own skin colour well, I look fresh and natural in the morning, the colour does oxidise during the day slightly, so it starts to warm up and look better on your skin, so if you bit darker than me then this could still work for you.
How it feels:
The product has a creamier thick texture, its not runny or like water based, but once on the face it blends in pretty well with the fingers, feeling light kind of like a tinted moisturiser, but not the ones that feel greasy or sticky. This actually feels more mattyifing, and has a semi matte finish and gets to a dewy finish in the day.
Coverage:
I liked the light natural glowy coverage this provided in the morning, but by the end of the working day it did sheer out and my blemishes would show through. It gave me a natural no makeup look, to the point i literally looked like I had no makeup on! I think you would only look good for it if you have an even clear complexion from the start.
My Final Thought:
I love the concept of the foundation (made out of flowers!) but sadly it does not have lasting coverage. It's not the best for oily skin types either. If you have dry or maturer skin then this could be good for you, however the coverage does not last throughout the day. I'm glad I did not buy the whole bottle, as it's difficult to get here in the UK and the P&P from Oz would cost a bomb!
