Silk Naturals HD cream stick foundation | Review & swatches

Omg! I'm really loving this foundation! I saw just a few videos of this brand on YouTube and kind of guessed my shades and just took a chance and ordered them.  Usually I try to refrain from ordering from the US because of the taxes in the UK but ordered anyway. I did get charged £11 because my order was over £15 which was a bummer but oh well!

Shade
I ordered two shade in the 'Golden' range. They have cool and neutral available too but Golden was best suited to my warm skintone that has yellow tones too it. They have 8 shades, I think most of the shades are very light and the darkest which is 8 probably just goes up to a Medium to dark skin tone which is probably just like a tanned Golden. I'm only assuming this going by shades 6 and 7 which I purchased. Shade 6 I would say is very subtly light for me but only I can tell, I think this is a good match for a Mac NC 30 to 35. Shade 7, is a perfect match for me, and it's abit warmer than the 6, it matches well if your and NC 35 to 40, possibly 42 if you prefer to go abit lighter. So by looking at shade 7, I'm guessing shade 8 being their darkest shade isn't catered for those with deeper shades. Usually I'm in the middle spectrum of foundations so 7 being there 'middle' shade means they don't go very dark!

Consistency/Texture
Pigmented and rich in it's colour, glides on so smoothly, glad it's not too creamy as most creams would melt off skin and look too shiny. I think depends on how you apply it, but I use a Real Techniques face brush to Buff this into my skin and I have a lovely semi-matte finish.  I just love how it blends in!

Coverage
I think it all depends on how much you use, but you will get a light to full coverage with this. I use enough to give me a medium coverage which gives me a natural looking soft focus flawless coverage. Although it says it's HD, I would still say it gives a natural look and hence not HD as you associate that with a very sharp clean perfect polished look. I love this finish because it's natural, fresh and soft looking. It looks natural and Glowy which I prefer more than looking HD and cakey!

Packaging
Have to discuss packaging because when I received it I thought it's so tiny, literally looks like a lip balm but it's perfect for traveling and easy to apply, so quickly it's unbelievable! I've been using this for two weeks now but I'm wondering how long it will last!

My Final Thought
Absolutely love this foundation, shade 7 matches me perfectly but I have been using shade 6 in the inner parts of my face and 7 on the outer so that I don't waste the product, I am a littler paler on my cheeks so shade 6 is going to good use! So glad I tried this, wish it was more widely available in the UK, may try more of their products as I'm really impressed with this foundation, its so easy and practical to use. The price is pretty cheap which is like $9 which is like around 4 or 5 pounds in the UK. The ingredients are non toxic which I love! So it's the perfect product for me and something I'd take on holidays with me, looks lovely in pictures too.  When you apply this, it looks like it's not doing much but it smoothes out and blends over any imperfections and darker pigmented skin. I would definitely buy this again!
