The Body Shop - Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

The Body Shop - Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

I've used most of this product so think a review is in order. I came across this in a Youtubers favourites video so I thought I'd give it a try.

It is a gentle soft Cleansing Oil. I haven't used a cleaning oil before so not sure what I was expecting.  I normally wet my hands and face before I use a cleansing product so I kept forgetting that I need to keep my hands and Face dry in order to use this product! So to use it effectively I had to remember how to use it!

Secondly, I used it to wipe off makeup, and found that it removed mineral makeup well, but anything heavier like a liquid foundation, and mascara and concealer, it just looked abit of a mess on the face. Just felt like I was smearing product all over my face...I suppose thats what an oil will do though. Once I used the cleansing oil and then applied water to wash it off, I felt it didnt give a good clean to my face so I still had to go and use another product afterwards to wash the oily consistency and makeup off. Usually any face wash product I use wipes my makeup and leaves my skin clean in one go so I wasn't used to using two products at the end of the day. washing makeup is a chore anyway, and spending even longer doing it is a mission! So on that note I wasn't really feeling this product. It is a gentle product, and if your into cleansing oils then this is worth a try as it is super smooth and gentle, but its just not my cup of tea.

My Final Thought
Takes off light makeup very well, washes off well with water too. Heavy makeup can get messy washing off like mascara but overall an okay product. I'm not into cleansing oils, but it didn't agitate my skin, so for sensitive skins its probably a good product to use.
