PHB Balancing Shampoo & Conditioner - Lavender and Mint Review

Slowly moving away from chemical based products but I've been trying a few natural shampoo and conditioners for dry, coloured and wavy hair and they have been too thick with moisturising ingredients that have weighed down my hair.

I came across this brand when I purchased their foundation, and saw that they do a haircare range too. I decided to pick the balancing range as its suitable for everyday use (not that I wash my hair daily!) and that its also anti dandruff. I don't get dandruff but in the winter months my head feels extra dry and itchy sometimes so I felt this would be gentle enough to use and is also fine to use on coloured hair.

With all natural shampoos you are lucky to get a decent lather first time round, with natural shampoos though I do like to wash my hair twice with it and in the second shampoo you get a good lather. This stuff smells so amazing, refreshing and invigorating you feel like you are getting a really good deep clean without stripping the hair. It has a herb-ally but refreshing minty rosemary smell to it.  I find that this shampoo does a good clean but is soft and gentle on the hair. As my hair is very dry from having a bleached ombre done, I really need to use alot of conditioner to bring the moisture back into my hair. The conditioner is smoothing and does not weigh down the hair it works well with the shampoo.

I think this is a good shampoo range for those with fine hair, its very invigorating and can tell my scalp feels alot calmer and less irritated.  As I have very dry hair at the moment, I think I could easily go through the conditioner alot quicker, which means I wish there was more product or larger bottles in this range!

My hair feels soft and shiny with this range, I managed to get the set of shampoo and conditioner for around £16 but on full price its around £22 altogether I think.

Would I buy this again?
Well I wouldn't mind trying their other ranges..I love trying different products but I would probably come back to this again if I felt my scalp and hair needed a good wash and to get rid of build up. It's clarifiying but at the same time I feel as though my hair is getting greasy quicker with this range. I do feel that those with normal hair would benefit from this, but the shampoo is quite drying for my 'damaged in need of nourishment hair', so probably not the best range to use for my hair type at the moment.

My Final Thought
Not the most expensive range of haircare but it does cost quite abit if you have very thick hair and go through alot of it its likely to finish much quicker! Love the practical pump on both of them, no waste no leakages. It smells refreshing, I just love the smell of fresh clean hair!  Worth a try if your looking for natural alternatives from a good reputable, cruelty free and natural brand. Not sure if I would get this again. I prefer 300ml to 400ml bottles of natural shampoos and conditioners as I have thick hair and a few pumps doesn't go very far on my hair.
