Uoga Uoga Mineral Makeup | Review and swatch

I came across this brand on Instagram when it came up on my explorer page. Their make-up and packaging looks cute not to mention natural and pure!

I have nearly finished my huge jar of Earthnicity Mineral foundation that I use on top of the Inika Liquid Foundation, so I thought I'd try another brand out. As I get shiny and most mineral foundations melt and disappear on me I was glad to see that Uoga Uoga Mineral foundation has Kaolin Clay in it to absorb oils and it also has Amber as one of the ingredients which is found in Lithuania and well known for.  Apparently Amber has regenerating and healing properties in it so its a bonus to have in the foundation.

Mineral Powder - Amber Sand
Uoga Uoga don't have a variety of shades and seem to have more lighter shades which I'm not surprised as I'm just guessing majority of Lithuanian customers have lighter skin tones however I managed to find my shade in 'Amber Sand' which is a medium warm shade with yellow tones.  When it came in the post I did think it was a warm shade but not that yellow. I was really impressed with it actually as it was a perfect match for me, it was warm enough and give me a healthy radiant warm glow. I use the Eco Tools retractable kabuki brush and it blends the mineral powder perfectly into my skin giving me a soft semi matte glow.  I feel its very similar coverage wise to Alima's mineral loose powder which is light-medium coverage, however I felt that Uoga Uoga's mineral powder lasted much longer on me, didn't settle into my laughter lines, crease around the nose or get patchy on my forehead which normally happens! So a big thumbs up from me! Plus it stays well perfectly on its own as a foundation or on top of a Liquid foundation or BB cream, to give more flawless coverage. The trial size has a generous amount of foundation in it too its given me quite a few uses.

Mineral Blush - Dawn on Mars
OMG....love, love, love this blusher! It gives the perfect natural flush. Not too pink, not too coral, not too plum. Its the perfect natural flush. Now that the weather is getting fresher and cooler, Dawn on Mars is the perfect shade for Autumn, its not too warm, so it freshens up the face as if you've pinched your cheeks to get a pinky rosey flush. Only negative I have is I wish they had more shades for darker skin tones as I would definitely buy more of their blushers. I feel the other shades suit paler skin tones more and wouldn't show up on my complexion but I guess as a small Lithuanian brand they are catering more for their light European customers, but perhaps in future they might make more shades for darker skintones...

My Final Thought

Mineral Foundation
The Uoga Uoga foundation does cost more than other ones I have purchased in the past at around £28 although I'd say this would be my HG loose mineral foundation and I wouldn't need to try any more as this is perfect. The shade is bang on, the longevity is excellent and lasting power is better than other minerals. I also like the fact it doesn't oxidise on me, as I tend to look alot darker when most minerals do this and its really annoying. I will be purchasing the full size as soon as my other minerals finish.

Mineral Blush
Can we pause just to note how cute their packaging is! I was pleasantly surprised to love both the blush and the mineral powder, but I love that the mineral blush is true to it's colour in the pot and the cheek, as other brands have blushes that look so different on the face. Dawn on Mars is the perfect shade for medium skin tones its deeper than the other shades and its buildable to get the depth that you want. The pot is huge and will last ages too. I think these will definitely be my staple pieces when it comes to my natural brands!
