PHB Ethical Beauty BB Cream in Medium and Tan | Review & Swatches

I picked up another product from PHB and got samples of their new BB cream. I wasn't sure what shade I would be so  I got samples of 'Medium' and 'Tan'.

Medium has been described as: A light-medium shade with warm balanced undertones for light to medium skin tones. Great for light to medium skin tones
Tan has been described as: A medium tan shade with warm Peach undertones for tanned to medium skin tones.

All shades have an SPF of 15 which is great, and the full size is £18.95 which is pretty good for a natural product.

The description for the BB Cream has been described as (and it sounds absolutely great btw!):
PHB's skin nourishing Botanical BB Cream blurs the line between makeup and skin care. Pure Minerals provide subtle coverage to leave skin looking flawless and radiant.
Made with organic ingredients that encourage an even and radiant complexion whilst nourishing and protecting skin. With a light and silky texture that won't clog pores.
Made with skin enhancing botanical extracts of Rosehip, Aloe Vera and Grape Seed. Rosehip oil helps lighten pigmentation with regular use.

The sample sizes cost me 75p each I think and I got alot of product in the sample pots. I have tried both shades and both shades actually suit me pretty well.

The Medium shade to me is a warm neutral peachy shade and the Tan is deeper and more warm/golden shade, slightly with more yellow. The coverage is light, it blurs out imperfections, pores, to give you an even appearance. Its very natural, so it cannot be compared to a coverage of a foundation. It didn't fully get rid of the redness around my nose for example but I can use concealer for under eyes and redness. It feels amazingly light on the skin unlike most BB creams which feel heavy and gloopy to use. I do like how light and soft it feels on the skin. I have not used this on its own as I do like slightly more coverage so I did also get a sample of their Loose Mineral Foundation (will also review later) and it goes perfectly with it, it looks amazingly flawless.

My Final Thought
The foundation has a light moussy like texture. I think as the product blends out so well and is light/sheer coverage. If you have medium complexion like myself both shades could really work for you. I think personally when I will purchase the full size I would prefer to get the Medium shade just incase I use other products and it might oxidise the BB Cream. I do like a warmer look which I do with a mineral powder on top so would prefer Medium in the BB Cream. I could be Tan in summer however as the products sheer out quite abit I don't really feel they are that different in colour once on the face, it is slightly more warmer.  I did find by the end of the day Tan made me look more warmer/deeper by the end of the day so I would prefer Medium just because it won't go darker or if it does I don't change that much in colour - but its barely noticeable so its only something I would notice lol.

I LOVE how PHB's products are of high quality, and have so much goodness in it so I don't feel bad wearing this stuff, infact its like skincare so its makeup thats good for you! I have alot to get through in my sample pots but probably will purchase the BB Cream in the future, I defo recommend this brand if your new to natural makeup or want to convert to it.

I have took these swatches in natural lighting so you can see the shades properly, as you can see Medium is a true medium shade, Tan is more deeper and more suited for tanned complexions, so if your medium or abit deeper but go sunkissed in summer then this would be perfect for you. Hope this makes sense lol but as I said its such light coverage it works at balancing your skintone rather that adding colour to your face, so both shades could be workable.
