Eco Tools Concealer Brush Review

Image
Eco Tools Concealer Brush Review This is such an amazing concealer brush for the eye area. I bought this from my local drugstore I think for around £5.00. My sister recommended it to me to use with my under eye concealor and it works so well with it! The hairs on this little brush are so dense and the shape of it is perfect to get around the shape and angles round the eye area. It's a good sturdy brush it's not flimsy or flexible, its pointed and shaped well. This brush evens out my concealor evenly around the eye and it gives such a natural flawless finish. it doesn't cake on your concealer and it blends the product in really well. It will probably depend what sort of concealer you use, at the moment I'm using a natural concealer called 'Studio 78' (which I will also do a review on soon!). It has a creamy thick texture, so this brush helps me use just a small amount to make a difference to my eye area and help me build up as much concealer I need without...

Australian Organics Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Image
Australian Organics Shampoo and Conditioner - for Dry, coloured or chemically treated hair I bought this from Hollands and Barratts, was looking for a natural shampoo and conditioner range and I got the 'Intensive Care shampoo' and 'Nourishing Restorative conditioner' 'for dry coloured or chemically treated hair'. I will go straight into my review and say the products I got were just okay. First few washes my hair felt nice; very cleansed and healthy looking, but after finishing all of the bottles now I feel my hair didnt feel improved or look better in anyway.  One thing I did like about this product is how refreshing it made my scalp feel. My scalp felt very clean and my roots felt soft. It's not a harsh product but cleans your roots and hair thoroughly. Most Natural shampoos leave a residue or don't clean properly so if your looking for a shampoo that thoroughly cleans then I would recommend this product.  My mid-lengths and ends of hair fe...

100% Pure Cosmetics - Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits Review

Image
100% Pure Cosmetics - Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits (full Coverage/satin finish) So on my quest for looking for natural makeup alternatives, my sister and I came across this website. We waited ages for the foundation shade we wanted to come into stock (Peach Bisque) as it seems it's pretty popular and the UK site always seemed to be out of stock. We subscribed to the website and finally got an email saying it was back in stock so we both ordered it quick time! Here's a little bit they say about it: Key Benefits 100% natural, 100% vegan, gluten free colored with fruit and vegetable pigments instead of minerals or synthetic dyes full coverage creme to matte finish conceals all imperfections nourishes skin with antioxidants Ingredients Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Juice)*, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Extracts of Prunus Persica Fruit (Peach), Prunus Armeniaca Fruit (Apricot), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Bean) and Lycium Barbarum Fru...

Body Shop's Grapeseed Glossing Serum Review - This stuff is the shizzle!

Image
Grapeseed Glossing Serum by The Body Shop   Winter's here...and those frizzy hair days are back! My waves start too look rough, dry and basically lack lustre and shine!  I've been through bottles of Kerastase Elixir  (which was in fact pretty good), Aussie's Curl Definition Serum (hair felt greasy), John Friedas range for Frizzy hair (hmm okay), Macadamia range (good, but feels like its coating hair)....and then I wanted to try something different. I was intending to get another bottle of the Kerastase Elixir although I felt abit relectant to pay £30 for it. Don't get me wrong it's a great investment, but when you on a budget it's abit tough departing on £30 on a hair product! Anyways, whilst browsing online for hair serums, I stumbled upon on Body Shop's Grapeseed Glossing Serum. It had really brilliant reviews, and I thought it's worth a try specially if your on a budget. I'm not the biggest fan of Body Shop; their products are not ...

Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette in 'What you waiting for?' Review

Image
Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette in 'What you waiting for?' Review Came across this brand the first time in Superdrugs in Birmingham, walked past it few times and then one day decided to buy one of their palettes. They have a variety of different palettes and I think a few are limited addition ones. One thing I noticed is that they say its 'super pigmented' which is really important when buying eyeshadows. I hate faded out dark colours and chalky pastels!  Shades: I've read a few reviews that say the colours or shades are similar to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, and that's quite good for me as I only have Naked 1 and 2! :)  I like the practicality of this palette,  it has 6 matte shades from light to dark and 12 shimmery shades also light to dark. The reason I got this palette is that it is very wearable and useable for everyday use. All shades are really nice and unique looking. There isn't a shade in the palette that I'd think eww wou...

My Mehndi/Henna Decor - some bright ideas!

Image
My Mehndi/Henna Decor - some bright ideas! This is not makeup related...but I got married not so long ago and thought I'd post a pic of my henna table decor and rasam (traditions) tray, which has fruits and sweet stuff on it that gets fed to the bride by the guests, and also the henna and Ittar (perfume) thats get put on her ( in which case me!). For the decor, I got the fabric from some indian shop which was a perfect for my bright themed henna party. The colourful ethnic trays are from Pakistan, and the fruit is from Tescos lol! Bright colours are a must for henna/mehndi parties! So hope this gives you some inspiration this wedding season! Lots of yellow, greens and pinks! My henna decor!

Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Intense Lip Crayon Swatches

Image
Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Intense Lip Crayon Swatches So I was browsing on my lunch break whilst at work and came across these in Superdrugs...hmm which ones to get! I went back to the store a couple of times but the shades I want are always sold out! Overall nice shades, apart from 'Minimalist' which I think is too light for my skin tone (top left). 'In with Coral' is SO my kind of everyday shade (4th from the left). Not into the berries and reds much but very appropriate colours for Autumn. Most of them look like very flattering shades for warm skin tones, and they are very pigmented.  Check them out in store!

Billy in the Tree Pure Argan Oil | Review

Image
Billy in the Tree Pure Argan Oil Review This was my first Argan oil I tried after looking into countless number of bottles and potions of this stuff! I came across this on Amazon, and it had really good reviews on it. Alot of other argan oils had mixture of other ingredients on it specially the mainstream popular branded ones. It comes in a lovely amber glass bottle. The packaging is cute and lovely and expensive looking....but about the product itself. Well...it depends what your actually using the Argan oil for. For myself, personally I use this product for my hair and face. I use a drop of this Argan oil at night and mix it with a face cream before bed, by morning I wake up with soft supple younger looking skin. It's really improved how my skin feels and will continue using this throughout winter. I also use this on my hair, although be warned if you do use too much of it your hair will look heavy and oiled. Best time to use this on your hair is when it's freshl...

Earthnicity Mineral Blusher in Sweet Pink

Image
Earthnicity Mineral Blusher in Sweet Pink I really liked the Sorbet blush from Earthnicity so I got one in Sweet Pink too. Looking at other reviews and photos I thought it might be abit too light for my skin, but its not. It gives a lovely natural flush to the cheeks, its a very natural colour yet pigmented enough to give a natural flush. I think the name Sweet Pink should really be Sweet Peach because it's a peachy-pink shade and looks more peach on my cheeks. I was hoping it would be more pinky when I bought it as that's what the website picture looks like - a cool toned pink, but even though its more peach its a lovely shade that looks like a natural flush to the cheeks, it's perfect for the everyday subtle look. Eartnicity Blush in Sweet Pink Sweet Pink Sweet Pink Swatch Sweet Pink Swatch My Final Thought: Lovely natural looking shade - but like I said before, its a soft peachy-pink, not as cool pink as in the image on their website, s...

Zuii Certified Organic Flora Liquid Foundation Review

Image
Zuii Certified Organic Flora Liquid Foundation I'm trying to move my skincare and makeup more into a natural and organic range. Specially my everyday makeup, I wanted something light for everyday use specially for work and just out and about during the day. I was looking into products that had no chemicals, silicones, and parabens in them. I came across Zuii in a Youtuber's video and she recommended it (think the channel is called Holistic Habits!). It's an Australian brand, and their products can be brought online, there are a few stores also scattered round the world that sell this in their health shops. I used a sample from my sister's to try out, so this is a review only not swatches. Shade/Colour Selection: I think their colour selection is quite limited to medium to dark skin tones. Meaning there are no shades for dark skintones! There medium range, which I initially thought would still be too light for me actually matched me quite well. if your more ye...

Sleek True Colour Lipstick & Swatches

Image
Sleek True Colour Lipsticks  Love these lippies, amazing pigmented colour, staying power and quality! Sleek True Colours Lipsticks Papaya Punch - matte A very bright and vibrant coral colour more on the orangey soft red side. Sleek - Papaya Punch swatch Peaches and Cream - sheen A natural looking peach shade - can come out looking abit lighter than in the lipstick so can make me look abit washed out unless I add bit of bronzer and warmth to my face to go with the lighter/paler lipstick shade look. Sleek - Peaches & Cream swatch Heartbreaker - matte A fun playful medium-deep pinky- red, lovely colour for going out in! Sleek - Heartbreaker swatch Bare All - matte A very neutral brown toned natural-nude shade. Perfect for natural looks and work. Sleek - Bare All swatch Smother - Sheen Not been daring enough to try this shade yet, its not as dark in the lipstick, but its a lovely purple reminds me of Aubergine...

Inika Certified Organic Liquid Foundation Review

Image
Inika Certified Organic Liquid Foundation I'm really trying to gear more towards natural and organic products, and using certain products everyday, like foundations and moisturisers I thought I'd try the Inika Liquid Foundation. I got a sample of the Inika in the shade 'Honey', which is described to suit medium to dark beige and warm/tan tones. (From the swatches below it probably looks an exact match to my hand, but my face is alot lighter...if your Asian like me then you know we are different shades all over!). Inika sample in Honey Inika - Honey swatch Inika Honey swatch with flash How it feels It feels kind of sticky and tacky when you first put it on the face, I think the best way to use this is with your fingers to blend as it doesn't glide as smoothly across your face like most foundation do which has silicones in it. How it looks When I first put it on I thought I'd look quite shiny, as it has a dewy feeling and finish, how...

Grow Gorgeous Hair Serum Review

Image
Grow Gorgeous Hair Serum   I tried this when it first came out, I was very intrigued and curious to what it claims to do...(which seems to be a miracle!)   It claims to 'help' your hair appear to look longer, fuller and thicker looking. I think they picked their words well (and carefully!) as it doesn't claim to 'make' hair fuller, thicker etc but just 'appear'.   Well I'm not good with keeping a routine with something and I did use this bottle till the end which was 3 months like it says, however to see the full benefits it says you have to use it for 6 months, which would be two bottles of this stuff, as each bottle lasts 3 months roughly.   What I did notice with this product is that my hair fell out a lot less or hardly in the shower. When I massaged it into the scalp my hair at the roots did feel thicker and more dense, however I have thick hair to begin with so I was not entirely convinced. I think if I massaged anything int...

Afterglow Cosmetics Organic Triple Eye Treatment Concealer Review

Image
Afterglow Organic Triple Eye Treatment in Praline Absolutely love this concealer! This was my first well spent concealer...and I've hit pan and pretty much completed the Jar in over a year now. I love the fact it is a natural treatment and a concealer in one pot not to mention anti ageing. Shade It doesn't clog pores in the eye area, a little goes a long way with this product as its so pigmented you don't really need to layer it on. one coat is enough for me. I have to say when I first got the Jar I was shocked as I thought it was so small (which it is), but its money well spent as its lasted me aaaaaages and gives brilliant coverage which is perfect for my skin tone. If your round an NC35 to NC42 then Praline is the perfect shade for you, specially if your warm, golden or olive toned, it will blend in well. It's a semi-matte to dewy finish and brightens up the eye area. The ingredients are organic and natural which is the most important thing for ...
