Maybelline Coloursensational Matte Lipstick 987 Smoky Rose | Review & swatch - The perfect nude


 

As the title says, this is the perfect pinky dusky rose shade. Brown or beige nudes don't suit my complexion so I prefer going for the more pinkier shades which brighten up my complexion alot more.

To tell you the truth I'm kind of over the matte lipstick phase now, have so many colours and even though they give a natural look, sometimes they can look really drying and fine lines in your lips can appear, making you look rather dehydrated than healthy!

Anyways, the texture on this is really nice, its creamy soft and smooth, doesnt feel cakey or dry on the lips. It's perfect for day time, and work which I use it for, infact keep it in my bag. It does dry out for me half way during the day but most lipsticks do after drinks, lunches etc so not to bothered.

My Final Thought
If your looking for a perfect soft pink natural nude then this is perfect for medium to tan skintones, I think it would look really flattering on lighter complexions too.

Topshop Lipsticks Review

Topshop Lipsticks Review I love Topshop lipsticks, I've read some reviews that say the quality is just as good as MAC, minus the price. They have a lovely range of shades that are unique, bold and colourful (not as big as MAC’s though).  If your looking for some statement colours then Topshop has a nice range that you can choose from to suit any skin tone/shade. What I like about Topshop lippies are that they are colourful, fun and have a perfect ‘medium shade’ range meaning are great for golden/tan complexions and darker shades. They have a few paler shades, but even the nudes and corals can really work on Asian skin tones because they are not too milky or pale. EX1 Delete Fluide Concealer | Review and swatch

The EX1 fluide concealer has recently launched and I decided to pick that up with the foundation. I brought the EX1 Invisiwear Foundation in shade 7.0 which was formerly shade F300 and the EX1 Fluid Concealer in shade 6.0. EX1 Invisiwear Foundation shade 7.0 I have done a review on the foundation previously in more detail which can be found HERE . For a short summary about this foundation I will say that it does feel lightweight, and now that I own a few foundations I can say that looking back now that this wasn't the most strongest yellow/golden pigmented foundation I own. When it's swatched it does look warm but more neutral than yellow/golden such as Maybelline Fit Me in 220 or Mac Studio Fix NC40 in comparison. Even though it's not that yellow/golden as they range suggests it, it works well and has a rich pigmented formula in the foundation to adapt to your skintone perfectly.
