Topshop Lipsticks Dreamy and Mink | Swatches

Image
Dreamy - a lovely matte purple toned mauve shade. Excited to try this as its more purple toned but it's not cool, prefer warmer shades so this is ideal for warmer complexions. Mink - I think this is my first brown lipstick guys! It's a Medium moisturising browny peach toned lippy, a nice browny nude. Sometimes I get bored of the bubblegum pink lips and want a natural but slightly darker neutral shade and think this is perfect as its not too dark and dramatic. If I do want it darker then I could use a dark brown lip liner. This shade reminds me of the 90s which is quite in trend now.

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Multi Benefit Shampoo and Conditioner | Review

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Multi Benefit Shampoo and Conditioner Review what a long name for a product... I came across this in Superdrugs for £9.99 each. There is a hefty 379ml in this so kind of worth the £££££! I have never tried Shea Moisture before thinking its more catered towards afro/Caribbean hair and that it would be too heavy for my hair. This range in particular caters for all hair types as it says on the bottle so thought its a good place to start. I have thick wavy dry hair anyways, so I could probably get away with using there more moisturising products time to time - something I might try in the future.  I love the fact this doesn't have any bad sulphates, SLS, Parabens etc. Age defy, Colour Protect, Soften, Hydrate, Revive Body...only some of the things it claims to do, basically what the name is 'multi benefit'. Apart from the weird scent that I can't pinpoint what it is, I actually really like this. It does a reall...

It's Pure Organics Herbal Hair Colour Dark Brown | Review

Image
Natural Hair Dye by It's Pure Organics in Dark Brown Review All I can say is wish I knew about this dye sooner!    My hair history this past year...I've gone through pregnancy hair loss and dryness, not to mention having a no dye period when I was pregnant. This is why I went crazy with the dyes once my LO was born! I ombre'd my hair which meant my ends were bleached twice, coloured and used toners many times to keep ends dark blonde and ashy. Then semi colours on the roots/mid length to keep my hair and a few greys dark and glossy. So all this basically meant my hairs been in a really dry, brittle and frizzy state. It's ruined my natural waves all because of wanted an ombre. Something I'll never do again as its hard maintain when you naturally have dark hair that has a tendency to go orange tinged. I've had regular trims which have helped but after a while hair starts too look rough, lacking lustre and no shine. I think this is partially due to a bad...

My Top 3 Favourite Natural Mineral Foundations | Review

I've tried and tested so many mineral foundations I thought I should just dedicate a quick overview of my favourite ones. Firstly how I use them: How you apply/use your foundations will work differently for everyone. I've tried using a mineral foundation on top of just a moisturiser and no matter what brand I have used I just don't have that natural but flawless coverage. It looks perfect when you first apply it in the morning by midday some brands start to disappear or cake up in my fine lines around my cheeks and nose or I look like quite oily as it just melts OR I just look like I have nothing on! The best way to get out of my Mineral Loose or Pressed Foundation is by using a natural tinted moisturiser, BB cream or a Natural/Organic Liquid Foundation first as a base, so you have some light coverage to start with. What works for me is the Inika Liquid Foundation with a mineral foundation on top. Inika gives me a sheer to light coverage, medium if you build ...

PHB Balancing Shampoo & Conditioner | Review

Image
PHB Balancing Shampoo & Conditioner - Lavender and Mint Review Slowly moving away from chemical based products but I've been trying a few natural shampoo and conditioners for dry, coloured and wavy hair and they have been too thick with moisturising ingredients that have weighed down my hair.  I came across this brand when I purchased their foundation, and saw that they do a haircare range too. I decided to pick the balancing range as its suitable for everyday use (not that I wash my hair daily!) and that its also anti dandruff. I don't get dandruff but in the winter months my head feels extra dry and itchy sometimes so I felt this would be gentle enough to use and is also fine to use on coloured hair.  With all natural shampoos you are lucky to get a decent lather first time round, with natural shampoos though I do like to wash my hair twice with it and in the second shampoo you get a good lather. This stuff smells so amazing, refreshing and invigorating you ...

Art Naturals Organic Argan Oil Hair Loss Shampoo | Review

Image
I finished the whole £24 bottle! I don't know why or if you would agree but I can't justify spending that much on a bottle of shampoo, natural or not!.. Especially if you have to keep buying it again and again. However when they say it lasts 3 months worth then I did the math and thought ok then it's worth it I suppose.  In fact it lasted me 4 months should I say so well worth it. I'm writing this review quite a while after I've used this and thinking why did I just not buy this again?! At the moment I'm getting through my PHB S & C which I'm trying to finish although I don't feel it suited my hair type; however once that is finished I will probably get this Argan Shampoo again along with the conditioner or try their different range. This shampoo is perfect for thick, dry wavy or damaged coloured hair. I know its for hair loss which I originally bought it for due to alot of hair fall in my pregnancy and post pregnancy. I feel that ...

Dr. Organic Manuka Honey Face Mask | Review

Image
I haven't tried any of Dr organic's product so this is my first purchase. I always browse through their section in Holland and Barretts but never pick up anything! Don't know why?! So anyways I saw that this had pretty positive reviews on their website so I decided to pick it up. As it is a honey face mask I didn't expect it to detox or clarify my face or anything. I did hope it would nourish and moisturise my face abit, so I bought it for those reasons. My husband and I both tried this and found it really helped give the appearance of smoother and brightened skin. My face feels supple and moisturised and appears alot fresher once I washed it off. The directions say to leave it on for 10 minutes. I leave it on until it's dry so that's about right. For a quick and easy applying face mask this does make your skin feel and lool better in a small amount of time! I think it's good to use on tired skin or before going out just to brighten the ...

Kind Natured Shampoo and Conditioner | Review

Image
So I picked this up from Boots, was glad to see they had the option of natural and no harsh chemical alternatives to the usual hair products. I picked up the 'nourishing Ylang-ylang and sage' shampoo and conditioner. I think they had a moisturising range and also an cleansing range. I though this would be better for me due to having unruly thick and dry hair. Straight to the point I have to say I'm not that impressed. The products certainly do not suit my thick wavy hair it is way to drying. The shampoo does a good cleanse although its drying which I'm ok with but the conditioner should bring moisture back to my hair which it didn't. I feel this would better suit finer that's already in good condition. I also had to use twice as much conditioner as it wasn't doing much which means I ran out of conditioner alot quicker. My Final Thought Price was reasonable but disappointed the shampoo and conditioner didn't suit my hair. Would of been so co...

Silk Naturals HD cream stick foundation | Review & swatches

Image
Omg! I'm really loving this foundation! I saw just a few videos of this brand on YouTube and kind of guessed my shades and just took a chance and ordered them.  Usually I try to refrain from ordering from the US because of the taxes in the UK but ordered anyway. I did get charged £11 because my order was over £15 which was a bummer but oh well!  Shade I ordered two shade in the 'Golden' range. They have cool and neutral available too but Golden was best suited to my warm skintone that has yellow tones too it. They have 8 shades, I think most of the shades are very light and the darkest which is 8 probably just goes up to a Medium to dark skin tone which is probably just like a tanned Golden. I'm only assuming this going by shades 6 and 7 which I purchased. Shade 6 I would say is very subtly light for me but only I can tell, I think this is a good match for a Mac NC 30 to 35. Shade 7, is a perfect match for me, and it's abit warmer than the 6, it matches ...

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation Golden Beige | Review & swatch

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation Review and swatch in Golden Beige  Bourjois Air Mat Foundation claims to be light weight coverage with a matte finish. I brought this on a whim...prefer my natural products but the simple tube packaging and cute design got me! They only have 4 shades in this range and I picked up the Golden Beige which I think is the darkest in Boots (could be wrong). Ok, I came back to this product a month after I bought it, as when I initially bought it, I caked on my moisturiser and used this foundation, but it oxidised and went shiny which made the 'matte look' look dull and weird on my face. I wasn't impressed as I totally emptied their healthy mix foundation.  Then in the rush of an early morning, getting ready in a half lit room due to my baby still sleeping, I picked up this tube thinking it was my BareMinerals Complexion Rescue (the tube looks so similar - in the dark anyway!) and slapped it on my face, only realising why is my face so matte ...

A lovely warm peachy brown shade for autumn! Perfect medium shade for those that don't want to go too dark.

Earthnicity Tinted Moisturiser All Day Radiance Cream | Review

Image
I was excited when this came out and in their sale I managed to get it for around £19. It is exactly what it says a tinted moisturiser for those that don't want to wear something heavy like a foundation. I like that this is natural and the ingredients are not toxic. The shade medium was a tad orange, for medium I was expecting something more golden or yellow based but as it's so light in consistency it blends  into your skin without looking orange so thats not a problem. The texture is very light and smooth. I like that it's not sticky or too dewy like some tinted moisturisers, it dries to a semi matte finish on me. I dust my Mineral powders on top as I do prefer slightly more coverage and it goes on so smoothly on top of this tinted moisturiser. It feels nice and Earthnicity mineral  foundation in Natural Buff goes perfectly with this. I feel that the original price is abit steep considering you can get a foundation for that price with more coverage but it's s...

Solgar Skin, Hair and Nails review

Image
I lost alot of hair during and after my pregnancy and taking these tablets really helped grow my hair back around my hairline and near my temples where my hair fell out. Despite alot of hair falling out I feel these product has still helped my hair feel thick and healthy and has helped assisted my new hair growing back. I have not noticed change in my nails, I keep my nails short so they always pretty strong, my skin has been clear, and probably alot clearer all round really which could be due to the tablets. My Final Thought I took these for my hair and my hair generally feels so much better. It was falling out so much and now my hair doesn't fall out that much as it did before in clumps, just get the usual fall out in the shower now.

BLEACH London White Toner | Review

Image
I recently ombre'd my hair at the salon and after a few washes the toner fades and you end up with some gingery ends! I didn't want to spend any more money at the salon after spending over £100 to get the ombre eek!! I decided to try the White Toner from Boots, now I know it usually costs around 8 to 10 pounds I think but for some reason my local Boots priced there's at £1.45 so a bargain?! Anyways with any type of dark hair you end up with orange, gingery hair so I wanted to tone it down abit. I know this Toner in particular is probably better for those with really light yellow blonde hair which would make their hair platinum blonde but I thought let me try it on my dark hair anyways. The products and mixture is pretty usual to most toners, you mix a developer and colorant and apply toner on wet hair. I used baby shampoo first though to get rid of any build up on hair which I think is a really good idea as you will get better coverage on the hair. Overall ...

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara | Review

Image
My sister gifted me this and glad she did. It's natural and the perfect every day mascara a girl should have! I use this as a day to day Mascara as it's not dramatic enough for an evening look for me, but it may work for you! I have long lashes anyway but it definitely defines and lengthens, goes well with my natural fresh faced look. It's not clumpy, it doesn't dry and flake and you can build up the mascara to your desired look. Love the fact the ingredients are also natural, this is what I've copied from the website. Ingredients Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Organic Green Tea), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Cera Alba (Honey Beeswax), Rubus Fruticosus Fruit Extract (Blackberry Extract), Ribes Nigrum Fruit Extract (Blackcurrant Extract), Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract (Raspberry Extract), Hydrolyzed Oat Protein (Oat Protein), Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (Wheat Protein), Pantothenic Acid (Pro-vitamin B5), Fucus Vesiculosus Extract (Seaweed Powder), Coconut Stearic Acid ...

Trilogy Certified Rosehip Oil Review

Image
My Balm Balm Rosehip Miracle Oil ran out so I purchased the Trilogy Rosehip Oil as the reviews are so good on it and apparently Kate Middleton uses it too.  I have to get straight to the point and compare it to Balm Balm's and say it doesn't work for me aswell as Balm Balm's product. If you have read my review for their product, I really enjoyed using it as a night treatment and to wake up with gorgeous supple youthful skin the next day. I even got my sister in law to try it and she says the condition of her skin has changed, much clearer and smoother. Trilogy's product is a lighter oil and it says you only need 2-3 drops but I use a few more to really absorb it into my face. It's lighter oil than Balm Balm so I do sometimes use it under makeup during the day and my makeup does look smoother. As a night time treatment my skin does look smoother in the morning but it doesn't have that wow factor that Balm Balm's products gave me so I'm not that i...

Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum | Review

Image
My eyes have felt quite dry and dehydrated causing me to itch them over summer, I also wear contacts lenses which can make eyes feel even drier time to time. I wanted a moisturising and of course a natural eye product so decided to get the Sukin eye Serum. It feels like a light based moisturiser and it can be used day and night. It actually feels good to use something like this during the day under makeup as the eye area feels smoother and a light layer before makeup makes me feel like there's a barrier between the delicate eye area and makeup which is a good thing! The texture is very light and smooth. I've been using it for a while now and I feel although it helps condition the area of the eye I don't feel my eye bags have gotten any lighter but maybe I need to go through the whole bottle and then see! Would I buy this again? Hmm not sure, for a natural product the price is so affordable, it's moisturising and light for the eye area. My eye area fe...

NYX Lingerie matte lip shades - Pillow Talk & Ruffle Trim

Image
I bought two of these out of the collection in Pillow Talk and Ruffle Trim. A few of the shades were quite light and cool toned, so the two I picked were warm toned. Lovely shades, Ruffle Trim is like a Peachy Brown and Pillow Talk is a Medium Pink nude shade. I wish I could say I love these lip products but I find them really drying. I need lip balm before and after applying and the product feels tacky on the lips for a while. While the shades are really well pigmented I feel the colour on the lips start to fade after a while. These are similar to their matte lip creams however they don't feel as moisturising. I think these two are the only shades I'd get out of the range, I'd use them for a day time look but they feel heavy like I have something on the lips with these so not my favourite but nevertheless lovely shades. My Final Thought  Lovely unique shades however the quality is not as good as their popular soft matte lip creams that feel so nice and soft...
