BLEACH London White Toner | Review

Image
I recently ombre'd my hair at the salon and after a few washes the toner fades and you end up with some gingery ends! I didn't want to spend any more money at the salon after spending over £100 to get the ombre eek!! I decided to try the White Toner from Boots, now I know it usually costs around 8 to 10 pounds I think but for some reason my local Boots priced there's at £1.45 so a bargain?! Anyways with any type of dark hair you end up with orange, gingery hair so I wanted to tone it down abit. I know this Toner in particular is probably better for those with really light yellow blonde hair which would make their hair platinum blonde but I thought let me try it on my dark hair anyways. The products and mixture is pretty usual to most toners, you mix a developer and colorant and apply toner on wet hair. I used baby shampoo first though to get rid of any build up on hair which I think is a really good idea as you will get better coverage on the hair. Overall ...

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara | Review

Image
My sister gifted me this and glad she did. It's natural and the perfect every day mascara a girl should have! I use this as a day to day Mascara as it's not dramatic enough for an evening look for me, but it may work for you! I have long lashes anyway but it definitely defines and lengthens, goes well with my natural fresh faced look. It's not clumpy, it doesn't dry and flake and you can build up the mascara to your desired look. Love the fact the ingredients are also natural, this is what I've copied from the website. Ingredients Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Organic Green Tea), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Cera Alba (Honey Beeswax), Rubus Fruticosus Fruit Extract (Blackberry Extract), Ribes Nigrum Fruit Extract (Blackcurrant Extract), Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract (Raspberry Extract), Hydrolyzed Oat Protein (Oat Protein), Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (Wheat Protein), Pantothenic Acid (Pro-vitamin B5), Fucus Vesiculosus Extract (Seaweed Powder), Coconut Stearic Acid ...

Trilogy Certified Rosehip Oil Review

Image
My Balm Balm Rosehip Miracle Oil ran out so I purchased the Trilogy Rosehip Oil as the reviews are so good on it and apparently Kate Middleton uses it too.  I have to get straight to the point and compare it to Balm Balm's and say it doesn't work for me aswell as Balm Balm's product. If you have read my review for their product, I really enjoyed using it as a night treatment and to wake up with gorgeous supple youthful skin the next day. I even got my sister in law to try it and she says the condition of her skin has changed, much clearer and smoother. Trilogy's product is a lighter oil and it says you only need 2-3 drops but I use a few more to really absorb it into my face. It's lighter oil than Balm Balm so I do sometimes use it under makeup during the day and my makeup does look smoother. As a night time treatment my skin does look smoother in the morning but it doesn't have that wow factor that Balm Balm's products gave me so I'm not that i...

Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum | Review

Image
My eyes have felt quite dry and dehydrated causing me to itch them over summer, I also wear contacts lenses which can make eyes feel even drier time to time. I wanted a moisturising and of course a natural eye product so decided to get the Sukin eye Serum. It feels like a light based moisturiser and it can be used day and night. It actually feels good to use something like this during the day under makeup as the eye area feels smoother and a light layer before makeup makes me feel like there's a barrier between the delicate eye area and makeup which is a good thing! The texture is very light and smooth. I've been using it for a while now and I feel although it helps condition the area of the eye I don't feel my eye bags have gotten any lighter but maybe I need to go through the whole bottle and then see! Would I buy this again? Hmm not sure, for a natural product the price is so affordable, it's moisturising and light for the eye area. My eye area fe...

NYX Lingerie matte lip shades - Pillow Talk & Ruffle Trim

Image
I bought two of these out of the collection in Pillow Talk and Ruffle Trim. A few of the shades were quite light and cool toned, so the two I picked were warm toned. Lovely shades, Ruffle Trim is like a Peachy Brown and Pillow Talk is a Medium Pink nude shade. I wish I could say I love these lip products but I find them really drying. I need lip balm before and after applying and the product feels tacky on the lips for a while. While the shades are really well pigmented I feel the colour on the lips start to fade after a while. These are similar to their matte lip creams however they don't feel as moisturising. I think these two are the only shades I'd get out of the range, I'd use them for a day time look but they feel heavy like I have something on the lips with these so not my favourite but nevertheless lovely shades. My Final Thought  Lovely unique shades however the quality is not as good as their popular soft matte lip creams that feel so nice and soft...

Superdrug's Colour Rewind Review - and OMD it actually works!

Image
Colour Rewind Review A brief history of what I've been upto with my hair. A while back I used Loreal Rimini which is really good for those with natually or dyed dark hair as it brought my hair upto a lovely light brown. However silly me, always wanted a change; decided to be abit different, so I bought a box of Live Violet hair dye. Now, I've used Live hair dyes before and they've always made my hair go jet black and I never get that purple hue or blue hue etc but as their was a sale and it said it had some lightening in the pack I thought hey ho let's try it. Well it darkened my hair quite abit and then left me with a red halo which was slowly fading to orange...the worst colour! I then used a semi permant hair dye, I used a dark brown to get rid of the halo.....then waited 4 weeks and used Nice and Easy Light Ash brown to get back to a nice neutral brown.  That wasn't happening because of all the hairdye build up!!! I popped into Superdrugs and got the...

The Body Shop - Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

Image
The Body Shop - Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review I've used most of this product so think a review is in order. I came across this in a Youtubers favourites video so I thought I'd give it a try.  It is a gentle soft Cleansing Oil. I haven't used a cleaning oil before so not sure what I was expecting.  I normally wet my hands and face before I use a cleansing product so I kept forgetting that I need to keep my hands and Face dry in order to use this product! So to use it effectively I had to remember how to use it! Secondly, I used it to wipe off makeup, and found that it removed mineral makeup well, but anything heavier like a liquid foundation, and mascara and concealer, it just looked abit of a mess on the face. Just felt like I was smearing product all over my face...I suppose thats what an oil will do though. Once I used the cleansing oil and then applied water to wash it off, I felt it didnt give a good clean to my face so I still had to go and use anoth...

Soap and Glory - Face Soap and Clarity 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash Review

Image
Soap and Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash Oooh gotta love their long product names, they literally have the whole description in the product name itself! I got this product when it was on offer and it was around 5 pounds in Boots. I needed a face wash and this one looked like a good deal at 350ml. You don't even get that much shampoo at a good price!  Anyway it does the job. Washes away makeup and any residue on face, does a full clean of the face making it sqeaky clean without drying it out. The packaging is cute - a blue formula with pink balls. I'm not sure if the small exfoliating pink balls are of any use though as I think the blue liquid product itself it what really gives the face a good clean. My face does look fresh whilst using this product, I haven't had any reactions to this product, it is gentle enough to use everyday. As for the Vitamin C in it, I don't know how much of this it has to make an effect because I don't think its a product that bene...

Akamuti Rose Products Review

Image
Akamuti Rose Beauty Mask I like this mask and it's ideal for those with sensitive skin as it seems really gentle - made out of roses, as gentle as it gets! It smells lovely and once made into a paste its a lovely fun pink colour. My skin feels refreshed, hydrated and smooth with this mask. It doesn't strip your skin of oils, or make your skin feel dry. There's so much of the powder in the tub it would last me ages! I've never come across a rose face mask before so this was quite interesting to use.  Organic Rosewater I use this to set my makeup with. Wanted something natural without the chemicals. It's perfect for setting my face when I use loose powder minerals as it pulls the whole look together and leaves my skin looking more natural and less dry and powdery. Only thing is if your looking for something to take your makeup off with, this didnt' really work for me in that way, I was still left with some makeup residue, so it's not the best...

Nvey Eco Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation Review

Image
Nvey Eco Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation Review - shade Cool Natural As you may or may not know I'm always on the quest for looking for natural/organic makeup. I came across this whilst searching on google and following their instagram page. I thought the price was reasonable for me to try. On Amazon I got the foundation for 20 quid. One thing I wasn't too sure about was the shade. Their website isn't very helpful, as you cannot see the exact shade colour. It just asks you to to complete the foundation selecter and will roughly tell you what you are; because of this I had to roughly guess my shade. I did try google the shades and a few bloggers swatched 'Cool Natural' which is described as a light to medium yellow toned shade. On some of the bloggers photos this looked quite like a medium yellow toned shade so I thought this would be the most suitable match, instead of the medium to tan 'Warm Honey' shade.  Once it did arrive in the post though, ...

Loreal Recital Preference Hair Dye in shade '7 RIMINI - DARK BLONDE' Review

Image
Loreal Recital Preference in shade 7 - Rimini Dark Blonde Review Hello all, a little bit about me and my struggle with hair dyes. I have very thick, dry wavy Asian hair. My natural colour is not black but a very dark brown where it looks black, so might aswell be black hair! All you Asian girls would know.  I have used so many hair dye boxes over the years, some that I have stuck to using such as 'Nice n Easy' which most of the time works and sometimes doesn't depending on how much build up I got on my hair. I always wanted a light brown all over colour but my roots have always ended up lighter in the shade I want and the ends are still dark! Almost like a halo. It's okay if my roots are at least 3 inches long but if it's just 1 inch it looks ridiculous. Anyways that's always been my fault as I been too impatient with my roots growing out, and getting bored with my hair quickly and dyeing it again and again. You're probably wondering why I don't ...

Burts Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil & Belly Butter Review

Image
Burts Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil & Belly Butter Well ever since I found out I was pregnant (what a surprise!) I was gifted these two from my sister. I literally have been using them from week 6 to now which is 8 and a half months pregnant and I can say confidently I have no stretch marks, irritated or taunt/ tight feeling skin! It might be down to good genes, but I feel these products play a part in making my skin feel moisturised and soft.  Nourishing Body Oil I love the oil, I use it every day without fail, after a shower or just before bed, it smells refreshing, citrus or lemony like which was perfect for me when I was going through the morning sickness faze. It wasn't too strong or unpleasantly sweet, infact I found the smell comforting when I went to sleep - 1st trimester hormones and that! Belly Butter The cream is great, I use it all over my body, as well as my bump and back. This doesn't have a strong fragrance to it at all, smells mildly like shea butt...

Organix Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Review

Image
Organix Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Review   I'll get straight into the review...I don't like the smell! It smells too much like a perfume, not natural enough. If you like cosmetic fragrance smells then this will be fine for you. I'm not one that bothers too much about fragrances, but I like my hair smelling fresh, or fruity or something thats abit more natural. I would of preferred the natural smell of argan which is just nutty compared to this. How I use it/makes my hair feel It says its a 'Weightless reviving dry oil' which it is - it has a slippery thin textured oily feel. It's not greasy or heavy on the hair, its almost like a thin smooth textured serum. I spray this on my hair when its damp, nearly dried and it helps get the tangles out my hair when I'm combing it through and I'm able to blow dry my hair smoothly too. I have very thick hair so I did not find it helped my hair look any better, although it did help make it feel smooth . ...

Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review

Image
Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve - Review I could totally rave about Topshop's makeup all day. The quality is amazing, the shade ranges are unique, their packaging is cute, and their prices are not too bad either! To add to my collection I got the Topshop Contour cream in the shade 'Swerve'. I'm not much of a contour girl; I use Topshop's Matte bronzer as a subtle contour sometimes but as the Anastasia kits started coming about with contour creams I came across this product. I couldn't see myself getting a full on contour palette, simply because I'm not into the full makeup look, so I thought this small little contour cream compact was perfect when I felt like doing a little bit extra. How it feels Firstly it is so easy to use. It has a really good soft smooth texture and I use my fingers to apply or 'draw' on contour lines on my face where ever I want it. I then use a contour brush and soften it out. it's build-able too so you can ...

100% Pure Cosmetics - Long Last Concealer Review - Peach Bisque

Image
100% Pure Cosmetics - Long Last Concealer with Super Fruits Review - Peach Bisque I bought this concealer in the shade 'Peach Bisque'. The shade goes well with the foundation that I have in Peach Bisque also, it is slightly lighter than the healthy mix foundation which is perfect for a concealer. How it feels/looks The texture is very smooth and creamy. I think it's a good concealer for winter as it is quite creamy and won't dry you around the eyes. The thing I noticed is that it looks quite shiny for the under eye once you put it on, so I would need to set it with a powder to make it look matte. I've used other concealer's where I have not needed to set it with a powder so its just an extra step I've got to take.  It is moisturising and does stay put even though its creamy but it does look quite dewy on the skin. I'm not sure how this would feel in hotter climates as it already looks dewy, it might just melt! I did have to apply this produc...

Sukin Facial Moisturiser Review

Image
Sukin Facial Moisturiser I think I'm totally due a review of this as I've gotten through the whole bottle...  I came across their products in a health store near me, I bought this and the Sukin Face Toner spray (which I've already done a review on). This is a great moisturiser, I did feel when I first got this that it clogged up my pores or was too greasy for my face as it's a natural product and can cause breakouts, but as my skin's got used to it- I loved it! I use a thin layer during the day under my foundation and it doesn't get greasy at all, I get a nice glow by the end of the day. I get dry cheeks but an oily T - Zone and this product balanced my skin out well.   At night time before bed, especially in the winter as my skin gets so dry and stripped after washing it, I apply a generous thicker layer of this before bed and wake up with clear super smooth skin.  My Final Thought I will repurchase this, it's one of the most na...

Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturiser Review

Image
Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturiser Review I bought this as I wanted a more natural face moisturiser and this says its got 95% natural ingredients. This is a good moisturiser for the summer as I find, once you put it on it has a thick dry texture to it, probably because of the SPF 15. When I use this in colder months I find it too drying and when I apply my makeup on top I fee it highlights the dry bits on my face like around my nose and forehead.  It's not the most moisturising product I have come across, I think they have different versions of this which might be more better in terms of hydrating the skin. I don't find this nourishing or hydrating for my skin, but it is probably a good product to take on holiday for warmer weathers as it has SPF15 in it.  My Final Thought It's not the best moisturiser I've come across, I probably won't be getting this again as I don't feel it sits well on my skin. My husband has dry, sensitive skin and whe...

Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review

Image
Earthnicity Mineral Concealer in 'Honey' Review   Oh my days I totally love this concealer and was surprised what a difference it makes to my skin. Since I've moved onto mineral makeup for everyday use I thought I'd add a concealer to my collection as I already use Earthnicity's Natural Buff Mineral Foundation. I switch between Alima Pure's Foundation and Earthnicity's and wanted a concealer powder for brightening up under my eyes forehead, cheeks, anywhere where I get redness like sides of my nose and darker pigmented areas.  Honey Is a light pale shade with a slight yellow tint to it so its perfect for brightening. It compliments really well with the Natural Buff foundation shade which I use. Honey is lighter than my skin tone as I wanted something to brighten up areas. The next shade down I think they have is called Sand which I think would of matched my skin exactly but then wouldn't of brightened up areas on my face; I usually like ...
